Large Silver Repoussed & Chased Bowl

This bowl is decorated all over with six flame-like cartouches each with a mythical figure in Thai costume, between which are stylised kala-like faces amid scrolling spiral motifs, all within floral borders.

The vase is finely engraved with a roundel filled with scrolling foliage and flowers in the Thai style. The engraving on the base of unusually high quality.
