Large Repoussed Silver ‘Moonstone’ Platter
Kandy, Ceylon/Sri Lanka
circa 1920
diameter: 36cm

The outer rim shows elephants and other animals. The inner rim shows a repeated hamsa motif. The central disc is unembellished but surrounded by a double lotus petal border. The rim has a small stamp with the letters ‘RPD.’
