Chinese Export Silver Cup and Saucer

This cup and saucer set, both marked with ‘VC’ and the saucer further marked to the underside with the Chinese shop mark ‘Yong Zhen’ are repoussed with dragons and other traditional Chinese motifs.

The saucer is decorated with three dragons amid stylised clouds; the cup with one dragon, humming birds amid bamboo, a pair of storks, an antelope and a feline-type creature. The handle is in segmented bamboo form.
