This large, round, heavy silver tray is from Kutch, India.
It has a raised rim and an outer edge that has been reinforced with rococo-like flourishes.
It is chased all over with Islamic-inspired scrolling flower and foliage motifs against a finely tooled background. The central roundel includes an armorial shield engraved with initials amidst an interesting and unusual thicket of vine leaves and grapes.
There is no maker’s mark. The tray is in perfect condition.
