This very fine, pierced, rectangular pendant with floral lattice-like decoration is of gold (most probably reinforced with lac) set with dozens of cabochon rubies, two emeralds and a central diamond, all in kundan settings. The form of the pendant is like a lattice-work window, perhaps one that might be seen in a temple. Another interpretation is that the array represents a stylised peacock.

A suspension loop (set with a single ruby) is at the top of the pendant.

A large emerald bead is suspended from the lower edge of the pendant.

The pendant has a curve to follow the contours of the body and to allow the inset precious stones and gold to catch more light.

The pendant is in fine condition. It is of a good size, and is highly wearable.
