This rare silver ‘C’-form bracelet has a somewhat iconic form when it comes to Indian silver bracelets. It is made from hollow silver and is worn by women in Maharashtra or Gujarat. The geometric form with the angular corrugations are particularly striking.

Both sides of the hoop that comprise the base structure of the bracelet are decorated with a rope-twist motif, and the ends are engraved with geometric designs and a flower motif in relief.

A similar example is illustrated in van Cutsem (2002, p. 181). Another is illustrated in Jayajar & Irwin (1956, p. 73).

The bracelet is in fine condition.
