Ottoman Syrian Silver & Coral Cuff Bracelet

This fine cuff bracelet of high-grade, solid silver opens with a hinged mechanism closed by a silver pin. It is decorated with applied silver filigree and granulation work.

Unusually, it also has four double rows of coral beads (a few are likely to be coral-coloured glass beads as well) that run vertically down the bracelet.

Cuff bracelets such as this example tend to be attributed to South-eastern Anatolia in Turkey though an Ottoman Syrian provenance might be more precise.

The pin closure is tight and secure. The bracelet has plenty of age and patina.
