This silver pedestal bowl known in Thai as a khan tok, is from northern Thailand and was used to present flowers and other offerings to monks. (In Bangkok and the rest of southern Thailand, a different type of footed tray was used – one more of a flatter dish than a bowl atop the base – perhaps more Malay in style.)
The vessel has an elegant flared foot and then a bowl on top which flares to a wide moth. Both are decorated with lotus petal-like lappets that have been chased with the cotton rosemallow flower or lai phuttan (Bromberg, 2019, p. 136).
The vessel is without a shopmark. It is in fine condition.
